Ethiopia The Marsh Sandpiper breeds from eastern Ukraine to central Siberia in steppe wetlands where its nest is built on a mound close to water. In the northern winter it migrates to the Mediterranean, Africa, the Middle East, India, south-east Asia and Australia. See the distribution map at Birdlife International. |
