England May 2008 The Orange-tip butterfly is seen in spring and early summer from April to June. The male, as seen in these photos, is more obvious with its orange-tips to the wings. The female lacks these tips and could be mistaken for a Small or Green-veined White at a distance. |

It is found in country lanes
and meadows as well as gardens and is usually seen near
