||||
Wattisham, Suffolk,
England June 2008 The Field Slug is a very destructive species hated by gardeners. It belongs to the group of keeled slugs so called because they have a ridge or keel near the tail which distinguishes them from round-backed slugs. It grows up to 5 cm and varies in colour from pale buff to greyish brown. It has a mantle which often has a netted appearance a bit like a fingerprint. |
