Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil August 2004 The Yellow-billed Tern is distributed in South America where it winters along the Atlantic coast from eastern Colombia to Buenos Aires and breeds inland along large rivers and the beaches of inland lakes. |

It has a yellow bill and yellow legs with a black cap but white forehead. In flight it shows dark outer primaries both above and below and a very shallow fork in the tail. | ||||
