The White-bellied Antpitta is distributed from Colombia through Ecuador to the extreme north of Peru. See the distribution map at xeno-canto. In Ecuador it is found on the eastern slope of the Andes in the undergrowth of forest and secondary woodland at between 1,400 and 2,200 metres.
