Guenther's Dik-dik is distributed in the Horn of Africa and into northern Kenya and northern Uganda. See the distribution map at IUCN. It is found in arid and semi-arid thornbush.

They are small antelopes standing about 40 cms high. They feed on leaves, flowers, fruits and shoots mainly from the Acacia tree.

It is distinguished from other Dik-diks by its elongated proboscis making it look a bit like a tapir.
